Dr Sears has released twelve books in Australia, but by no means do you have to read them all to get Zoned, one is plenty!
Just below are my recommendations for various situations, but there are also comparison tables and individual information pages for each book that include their tables of contents.
And at the bottom of this page are some details of other Zone books available elsewhere in the world, including some non-english versions.
I suggest the new Anti Inflammation Zone. It covers nearly everything and is Dr Sears' best presentation of the Zone so far. A Week in the Zone is shorter and a bit cheaper and really good too.
Zone Meals in Seconds gets straight into doing it and is the most practical Zone book.
The Anti Inflammation Zone will convince you to try it, while The Top 100 Zone Foods thoroughly explains why some foods are more favourable than others.
The Anti Inflammation Zone gets another vote, but A Week in the Zone and The Soy Zone aren't far behind.
Zone Meals in Seconds is the best again.
Zone Meals in Seconds to get going immediately,
The Top 100 Zone Foods to learn more about the foods you're eating, and
The Anti Inflammation Zone to learn why you're doing it.
I know of two other Zone recipe books:
by Deborah Friedson Chud, 1999
Full of gourmet Zone meals, though there is a large section of smoked meals which don't appeal to me, but generally it's a really nice book.
by Kristy Walker, 2003
I haven't seen this one.
If English isn't your native tongue you may be able to find a Zone book in a tongue that is! Apparently Enter the Zone has been translated to 14 languages. Here's a few I've found on the net but this list is far from complete...
Unfortunately most Australian book shops now mainly stock Enter the Zone which is not the best book to start with, though they should be able to order the other titles for you.
All of the Australian releases are still available from Get Zoned.
The two other recipe books are available from the New Zealand site www.zonediet.co.nz.
Amazon.com is worth a try for any of them, and www.barnesandnoble.com often has some foreign language versions.
